Valuation Disclaimer

Our valuations are estimates based on available data, not guarantees of what a card will sell for, and they are not financial advice.

TradingCard.news publishes prices, price histories, valuations and market indices for trading cards and sealed products. This disclaimer explains what those figures are, and what they are not.

Values are estimates, not guarantees

Every price and valuation on this site is an estimate based on available data. It is not a guarantee of what any item will sell for. Actual sale prices depend on condition, grade, timing, venue, fees and demand on the day, and may differ, sometimes significantly, from any figure we show.

How we build our figures

Our market values come primarily from recent sold listings, never asking prices, weighted toward primary sources such as auction houses, marketplaces and grading-service population data. Where an auction result is quoted we include the buyer’s premium, not just the hammer price. We flag thin, single-sale or low-volume data rather than present it as a settled market. The method is set out in our Source Transparency page.

Point-in-time snapshots

Values are point-in-time snapshots. The market moves, and figures can be out of date by the time you read them. Prices can fall as well as rise.

This is not financial advice

Nothing on TradingCard.news is financial, investment or trading advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any item. We do not know your circumstances. Collecting and trading cards carry real financial risk, and you are responsible for your own decisions. If you need advice, consult a suitably qualified professional.

No reliance

Do not rely on our figures as the sole basis for a purchase, sale or insurance valuation. Always check current sold comps and, where it matters, obtain an independent professional appraisal.
