Sponsored Content Policy

When content is paid for, we say so plainly and keep it separate from independent editorial.

TradingCard.news accepts sponsored content, but only on clear terms. This policy explains how we label it and how we keep it separate from our independent reporting.

What counts as sponsored content

Sponsored content is any material a third party has paid to place, including paid articles, sponsored guides, promoted placements and advertising features. It is different from editorial, which we produce independently on journalistic merit.

How we label it

Sponsored content is always clearly labelled as paid-for, near the content itself, so you are never left guessing. In line with US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance, sponsorship disclosures are visually obvious and are not hidden in footer-only legal text.

Editorial independence

Our editorial team has no role in producing sponsored content, and sponsors have no influence over our independent coverage. Buying sponsorship or advertising does not buy favourable reviews, better rankings or protection from criticism. Our standards are set out in our Editorial Policy.

What we will not run

We will not run sponsored content that is misleading, that presents asking prices as sold prices, that dresses thin data up as a market, or that promotes scams, counterfeits or altered cards. We reserve the right to decline any sponsorship.

Valuations in sponsored content

Any price or value figure that appears in sponsored content is still an estimate, not a guarantee, and is not financial advice. See our Valuation Disclaimer.
